Sales & Event Coordinator

The Porto Vista Hotel has renovated, broken loose from brand ties and we are ready to roll. We have a great product that we are constantly working on to update, the Glass Door- our fab restaurant , Ripassi-the best rooftop catering space in town, the Europa Conference Center under final remodel and a fun European-style boutique hotel in beautiful Little Italy.
We have added a new position to our sales effort. The Sales & Catering Coordinator will be responsible for the support functions of the Director of Accounts and the Director of Events. The S&C Coordinator will be responsible for the overall administrative functions of groups and catering events, as contracts are secured by the Sales Team. The Coordinator will perform a variety of tasks in support of the sales effort and be an intregal part of the sales team.
The successful candidate will have:
Delphi and Opera software experience
Hotel sales team experience
Word processing skills of 45-55 wpm
Microsoft Office product expertise
Fantastic telephone skills to inspire client confidence
Ability to work a flexible schedule with some weekends
Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced sales office environment
The desire to support our S&C managers in preparation for promotion to a managerial position
